The Writings on the wall

Guilty of cowerdice in the face of the enemy

The Archbishop of Canterbury was accused of surrendering to Muslim extremists last night by calling for Islamic sharia law to rule in parts of Britain.

But his remarks sparked a storm of protest. Sharia law has been used to justify stoning, beheadings and other brutal punishments in many Muslim countries. In extreme cases, Islamic courts have even put people to death for converting to Christianity.

Gordon Brown, the Prime Minister, declined to condemn the Archbishop’s remarks, and Downing Street even suggested some laws could be changed to reflect Muslim sensitivities. The Prime Minister believed that “British laws should be based on British values”, his spokesman said, going on to add: “There are instances where the Government has made changes, for example on stamp duty, but the general position is that sharia cannot be used as justification for committing breaches of English law nor can its principles be used in civil courts.”

Tory MP Mark Pritchard called the Archbishop’s remarks naive and shocking. “He may want to run up the white flag of surrender over Lambeth Palace, but there are many who do not.”

Mike Judge, of the Christian Institute, said: “The fact that we all obey the same law, whatever our religion, is an important principle of the British way of life.” And Stephen Green, national director of Christian Voice said: “This is a Christian country with Christian laws. If Muslims want to live under sharia law then they are free to emigrate to a country where sharia law is already in operation.”

Dr Williams’s remarks came in an interview with BBC Radio 4 yesterday,07/02/08, ahead of a speech last night to members of the legal profession. He argued that the legal system needed to be reformed to recognise different religious convictions within Britain’s multi-faith society. “It seems unavoidable and, as a matter of fact, certain conditions of sharia are already recognised in our society and under our law, so it is not as if we are bringing in an alien and rival system.

Many leading Muslims also rejected the Archbishop’s remarks. Labour MP Khalid Mahmood said: “This will alienate people from other communities because they will think this is what Muslims want and it is not.”

It is a shame that our leaders, religious and politicians, are pandering to the demands of muslims and this crass appeasment must be brought under control before our country is irreversably changed for ever.

What would the archbishop like next? All women wearing a hijab, so that muslim males wouldn't feel the urge to go out and rape white women? or non muslim women?

Hook Handed Finsbury Park Mouthpiece

It's good news at long last, hooky hamza is to be deported to the USA, we shall believe it when we see it! Papers have been signed and now it's just a matter of getting his bum on an aircraft seat. The quicker the better.

hamza once said that living in Britain was like living in a toilet surrounded by sewage, the question is, why didn't he reach up and pull the chain?

Two things I'll bet on, first is I bet the yanks won't have anyone wipe his arse for him incase he hurts himself with his hook, and second I'll bet that his family will remain in the uk until the day they die.

20/06/2008.

Radical Muslim cleric Abu Hamza al-Masri lost a court battle on Friday to block his extradition to the United States where he faces terrorism-related charges. Perhaps at long last we will be rid of this vile person, perhaps too he will never see the light of day again, as he is not likely to receive a seven year sentence in America, more like four hundred! Lets get him there soon.

Bye Bye Hooky!
